Hi everyone,

XSA has been approached with two cases for which we are hoping to receive the same kind and generous donations that we have received from our alumni in the past. Suffering from: Single vessel coronary artery disease
Need help for: Surgery

Estimated expense: 1 Lakh.

Lenin is suffering from single vessel coronary artery disease. He is being treated at the Lissie Heart Institute, Cochin by Dr. Kiran J Kattookkaran who has advised an immediate surgery of percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty. The estimated price for the treatment is 1 Lakh. Lenin, who is the sole bread winner of the family, is no longer working and his family doesn't have an alternate source of income. His family includes, his mother, his wife and his six year old son.

Patient's name: Shanmuga Priya
Suffering from: Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia
Need help for: Bone Marrow Transplant
Estimated expense: 10-12 Lakhs

Shamuga Priya, aged 7, is Dhannya's colleague’s cousin’s daughter. Having been diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, she now requires a bone marrow transplantation. Her parents have already spent 12 Lakhs during the treatment at Kanchi Kamakoti Child trust hostpital. The current treatment of chemotherapy is estimated to be 8 Lakhs which she is undergoing now and the bone marrow transplantation is estimated to be around another 10~12 Lakhs.
