FW: Scholarship Fund for Students of MEC from XSA - An update - Thu Apr 29, 2010

Hi All

Thanks for the words of support and commitments for donations from many of you. We are happy to say that we have received commitments for 3 scholarships already. This means that we have crossed the 50% mark for this year’s scholarship.

We have started discussion with Principal on the process for selecting the students. The major guidelines on student selection would be:

-          Family income of the student

-          Academics of the student

-          For the current year, we would select 5 students across 2^nd, 3^rd and 4^th year students. From next year, it would be from the 2^nd year students

We would like to call upon each one of you to take the small effort to help out the current students of your alma mater. Please contribute to this effort generously. Let us make this the biggest project from the alumni to the college

Good news for people in USA

Pramodkumar PG (batch of 2002 and XSA council member) is in USA. He has volunteered to take in the collection in USA.
